Connections between working memory skills and mathematical competences have already been proven many times. Working memory processes are relevant both to the arithmetic process itself and to the development of mathematical competencies. Functional limitations in working memory are also discussed as a causal factor for arithmetic difficulties. The object of the research project is the development and evaluation of a support concept for children with arithmetic difficulties. The aim is to provide integrated support for weak working memory skills and mathematical content.
