Diagnostics and evidence-based support in the learning areas of German and mathematics

One of our main fields of work is the development, evaluation and implementation of concepts of diagnostics and evidence-based support in inclusive teaching, with a focus on the learning areas of German and mathematics. We are currently working on the evaluation and implementation of concepts of diagnostics and evidence-based support in inclusive teaching, inclusive mathematics teaching in secondary school and spelling teaching in primary school.

Professionalisation processes within the framework of inclusion-oriented teacher education.

Another area is the research, monitoring and further development of inclusion-oriented teacher training. Among other things, we deal with the role and professional identity of special needs teachers at primary schools, the professional knowledge of student teachers, the beliefs of teachers in inclusive settings and the attitudes of teachers towards disability and inclusion and their influence on the design of inclusive teaching.

Attitude research

As a working group, we use different methodological approaches to research the attitudes of different groups of people and professions towards disability and inclusion. We also deal with the construct of attitudes and its operationalisation in standardised measurement instruments.

Intervention research

The field of intervention research represents a methodological focus of the working group, which can be located as a cross-structure in all thematic focus areas.
