Study and graduation
The development and research of inclusive teaching are at the centre of teaching in our division and thus, among other things, a connection to the teaching of special needs education and school inclusion. We offer teaching in the school-based degree programmes in special needs education and the extracurricular degree programme in rehabilitation sciences, so that students for the degree programmes in special needs education, teaching at grammar schools and comprehensive schools, teaching at vocational colleges and rehabilitation sciences (e.g. project studies) are offered a Bachelor's and Master's degree programme.
Our courses cover theories and models of joint learning in inclusive teaching with learning difficulties and in the special focus of emotional and social development, as well as the basics of school-based support in the special focus of learning. In addition to interdisciplinary topics such as inclusion and educational equity, we offer theoretical and practical research on the level of teaching and schools within the framework of research-based learning, such as teaching practices in dealing with differences in performance, tasks of special needs teachers, conditional models of school performance and concrete individual learning requirements in heterogeneous learning groups, such as working memory. Another focus is on diagnostics and evidence-based support in the learning areas of mathematics and German with topics such as mathematical learning difficulties, reading support and spelling.
